FAQ
Customer Questions
What does this Pu Erh tea from Café du Jour taste like?
This Pu Erh tea has a deep reddish-brown, chestnut-like colour with an intense, characteristic 'Mother Earth' aroma. The flavour is very full, mild and robust, which is typical of matured Pu Erh from Yunnan.
Is this Pu Erh tea really cholesterol-lowering?
There are indications that Pu Erh tea may naturally have cholesterol-lowering properties. Many people drink this tea for that reason, but it is not a medical product. We always recommend consulting your doctor with any health-related questions.
How do I best prepare this loose Pu Erh tea?
For the best flavour experience, we recommend using one teaspoon of loose tea per cup and water at approximately 95°C. Allow the tea to steep for 3 to 5 minutes for a mild flavour, or a little longer for a more intense experience.
Where does this Pu Erh tea come from?
Our Pu Erh tea originates from the Yunnan region in China, where this type of tea is traditionally produced and aged.
