Tea that survives a meeting room

The awkward part of tea at work is never the tea. It is the string that sinks into the mug, the bag that has to go somewhere, and the ring it leaves on the desk on the way there. A Royal T-Stick takes all three out: the orange tea is sealed inside a slim stick, you stir with the stick itself, and when you lift it out the excess water draws back into it instead of on to the table. It goes straight in the bin, and no spoon is involved at any point.

What the box tells you

Royal-T gives the taste as orange and stops there: there is no tasting note on the pack, and nothing that names the leaf sitting under the citrus, so we are not going to invent one for you. What you can count on is the orange, and the fact that you set the rest yourself — the longer the stick stays in the mug, the more of it comes through.

Making a cup

Open a wrapper, stand the stick in a mug of hot water and stir. If you take sugar, put it in first. When the tea is as strong as you want it, lift the stick out and throw it away.
