Café Intención sample pack - coffee beans - 2 x 1 kg

Two Café Intención blends, a kilo of each

This sample pack puts the two Café Intención bean blends side by side in 1 kg bags, so you can brew both properly before deciding which one earns a permanent place on the shelf. One bag is the Ecológico Caffè Crema, sold as Aromatico; the other is the Ecológico Espresso, sold as Intensivo.

Caffè Crema (Aromatico)

An arabica blend with a spicy, aromatic character and the gentler of the two in the cup. It works well as a mild espresso, and it comes into its own as a lungo or in a cappuccino, where the aroma carries through the milk rather than disappearing into it.

Espresso (Intensivo)

Darker roasted and noticeably fuller, with a pure, intense espresso flavour and a rich crema. This is the bag for anyone who takes espresso short and strong, and it holds its own in milk drinks such as cappuccino and latte macchiato.

Which machines?

Both blends suit fully automatic and semi-automatic machines as well as a traditional espresso machine. If you brew with a portafilter you can grind them yourself and dial each one in separately, which is worth the trouble here, because the two ask for slightly different settings.
