Clean Express Cleaning Tablets 2.5 g x 60 pieces

Degreasing tablets for fully automatic machines

Clean Express is the cleaning range of Nuova Ricambi, an Italian specialist in coffee machine parts. These 2.5 g tablets are its cleaner for fully automatic espresso machines: a white, odourless tablet that dissolves easily, breaks down the coffee fats that collect in the brew group and releases active oxygen as it works. The solution rinses out completely and leaves no trace on the parts it has cleaned. Use them in place of the original cleaning tablets your machine's maker sells.

How to use them

Fully automatic machines: at the end of a day's use, put one tablet into the cleaning opening and start the cleaning programme as your manual describes.

Traditional espresso machines: put one or two tablets in the blind filter and run the group as for a normal coffee. Open and close it at intervals of about 10 seconds, repeat four or five times, then rinse thoroughly.

Check the size first

The tablets are used in machines from Schaerer, Melitta, Bravilor, Animo, Saeco, Jura, AEG, De'Longhi, WMF and Siemens, among others. Tablet sizes still differ between models, so compare these with the tablets you use now, or check the size in your manual. Each tablet weighs 2.5 g and measures 18 mm across.

If a tablet does not dissolve fully

Some machines do not dissolve the whole tablet in one programme. Place it well to the back of the cleaning compartment, or break it into smaller pieces by hand before use; there is no score line, so it will not snap neatly. The tablets irritate the eyes, so wash your hands afterwards.
