Mancuso is a typically Italian roast, made by a German coffee roaster. The result is a balanced, strong coffee with the taste of southern Italy and a chocolatey note.
The intensity is 8, classed by us as strong, and the roast is medium. It is a blend of arabica and robusta beans; the robusta provides body and a firm crema. The coffee is suitable for espresso, cappuccino and filter coffee.
After roasting there is a lot of heat in the beans. If you do not cool them down to room temperature quickly, the roasting process simply carries on through the radiant heat between the beans and they become darker than intended.
This cooler blows the heat out quickly with a motor running at 3000 revolutions per minute, so you keep the roast profile you had in mind.
Senseo Extra Strong is an extra strong coffee pod made from dark roasted arabica and robusta beans. That gives an intense and punchy flavour with a lovely crema layer.
The robusta in the blend provides body and a spicy note, but it also brings more bitterness than a pod with only arabica. If you like a full, strong cup, this is a good choice. If you are looking for something milder, a more lightly roasted Senseo version is a better option.
With a tea stick the tea sits in a sealed aluminium stirrer instead of in a bag with a string and tag. You stir with it directly, so no string sinks into your cup and you do not have to use a separate spoon.
Because you let the excess water drain into the stick before you throw it away, you also get no tea rings or drips on your desk or table.
Brew the tea a little stronger than usual, for example with a generous teaspoon per cup, and let it steep for 5 to 7 minutes in boiling water.
Then strain the tea and mix it with warm milk or a plant based alternative. Sweeten to taste with honey or sugar.
Store the packaging cool, dry, dark and well sealed, ideally at around 15 to 18 degrees. Do not put chocolate in the fridge: the moisture and the temperature difference make the chocolate bloom, leaving a greyish white haze on the outside.
Close the bag well after opening. That way the almonds stay crunchy and the chocolate does not pick up smells from your cupboard.
The bar weighs 80 grams. Krak Chocolade is the company of bean to bar chocolate maker Mark Schimmel, who makes the bars in the Netherlands.
Bean to bar means that he handles the whole process himself: selecting the cacao beans by harvest year and by origin, roasting and refining. Most chocolatiers work with ready made melted factory chocolate, and you can taste the difference.
No. This pack contains everything you need for an espresso except the coffee machine itself. So you provide the espresso machine or bean to cup machine yourself.
The cup and saucer, the coffee beans and the biscuits are included, so you do not need to buy anything else.
This is a dark chocolate with 70 percent cacao. The bar weighs 80 grams.
At 70 percent cacao the bar is clearly dark and full in flavour, but less severely bitter than a bar with a higher cacao percentage.

The Kaffeehaus Mischung is a blend of arabica and robusta beans. The beans come from Brazil, Colombia, Vietnam and India.
Kaffee Joerges composes all Gorilla varieties itself and roasts them in Germany. The Gorilla brand has existed since 2004. The different varieties within the brand differ in strength, acidity and in the degree of darkness and fullness of flavour.
We work with about 2 grams of loose leaf tea per cup. A 100 gram bag therefore gives you around 50 cups.
Because this is loose leaf tea, you need a tea strainer, a tea filter bag or a teapot with a built in strainer. Give the leaves enough room in there to open up, so the flavour is released better.
Store the pack in a cool, dry and dark place and tightly closed, ideally at around 15 to 18 degrees. Do not put chocolate in the fridge: the moisture and the temperature difference make chocolate bloom, leaving a greyish white haze on the outside.
Close the bag properly after opening. Freeze-dried fruit attracts moisture and therefore loses its crunchy bite.
The ingredients of this bar are of organic origin. The packaging states the certification code NL-BIO-01.
That code refers to the Dutch inspection body for organic products. If you want to read the full composition or certification, check the label on the bar itself.
This product consists mostly of almonds and is therefore not suitable if you have a nut allergy. Milk and egg are not on the ingredient list.
We cannot make any statement about traces of other allergens caused by the production process. If you have an allergy, always read the label on the packaging.
