Robusta is often added to espresso blends for extra body, a firmer crema and a spicy, bitter note. With these beans the strength therefore does not come from robusta but from the dark roast, with an intensity of 8 and notes of dark chocolate, caramel and macadamia.

If you are sensitive to the bitterness of robusta, a one hundred percent arabica blend like this one is a logical choice.

These are whole beans, so you decide the grind size yourself. For espresso you grind fine, for a pour over filter such as a Moccamaster, Melitta or V60 you use filter grind, and for the ground coffee chute of a Jura, percolator grind.
