Forest fruit tea from Sunleaf

A fruity blend built on ripe forest fruit and wild berries, from Sunleaf, in a box of 25 tea bags. The character is the sweet-sharp one berries give you: full in the cup, with enough acidity behind the sweetness that it does not need sugar. It is light enough to come back to through the afternoon, and it makes an easy cup after dinner when a black tea would be too much.

Every bag wrapped on its own

The 25 bags come in individual sachets rather than loose in the box. Fruit aromas are volatile and start to go the moment they meet air, so that wrapper is what keeps the twenty-fifth cup smelling like the first. It also means a couple can travel in a bag or sit in a desk drawer without taking on the smell of everything around them.

Making a cup

One bag per cup, water straight off the boil, three to five minutes in the water. Leave it longer if you want it fuller, and take the bag out when you have it where you want it. Brewed strong and left to cool over ice it holds its flavour well, which is worth knowing in the summer.
