Kimbo Superior Blend is a smooth, lightly roasted Italian coffee from Kimbo, the Naples roaster. At 6 out of 13 on the Café du Jour strength scale it sits in the middle: mild enough to drink every day, with enough character for a proper espresso.
Flavour profile
The two types of bean each have a job: the Arabica gives the blend its refinement and aroma, and the Robusta adds body and a little bite. Together they give a sweet, smooth cup with floral notes and a touch of caramel. The aroma is full and elegant, with a light spicy edge.
With milk and in the machine
The gentle sweetness pairs well with milk. In a cappuccino or latte, the coffee stays clearly present instead of disappearing under the milk, and the light roast keeps it from turning too bitter. The blend performs well in bean-to-cup and semi-automatic espresso machines, and you can also brew it as filter coffee when you want a rounded, mellow cup.
