Lavazza Gold Selection coffee beans are a medium-roast blend of Arabica and Robusta, roasted in Italy by Lavazza and packed as 1 kg of whole beans.
Flavour
Honey and almond are the notes that stand out, with milk chocolate and a little vanilla underneath. The medium roast keeps the balance: sweetness first, a touch of brightness behind it, then a soft, rounded finish with no hard bitterness at the end. On the Café du Jour scale it is an 8 out of 13 — real body, but not a heavy dark roast.
In the cup
As an espresso it pulls a velvety crema and keeps a full body under the aroma. In cappuccino, latte and other milk drinks the sweeter, creamier side comes through instead of getting lost. It also holds up as filter coffee if that is how you drink it in the morning.
