Sizo Chicken Soup is a cup soup that comes 21 sachets to a box: tip one into a mug, add 175 ml of boiling water and stir. It is a full soup rather than plain stock - vermicelli rings are the largest ingredient, with carrot next, then croutons, parsley and a little dried chicken. Handy to keep in a desk drawer or the press at work.

Sizo is instant soup in single-serve sachets, 21 of them to a dispenser box. It is chicken soup of the familiar sort: a light savoury broth with vermicelli rings and small croutons in it, carrot and leek for body, and parsley, turmeric, mace and white pepper doing the seasoning. Because the pieces sit in the sachet along with the powder, you end up with something to eat rather than only something to drink.
Making it
- Tip the contents of one sachet into a mug or cup.
- Add 175 ml of boiling water.
- Stir briefly.
- That is it - Sizo ready.
Use the water straight off the kettle: the vermicelli needs that heat to soften properly.
