A sugar stick is a single portion of crystal sugar in a slim sealed wrapper. Each one holds 4 g, roughly a level teaspoon, so a cup gets sweetened by tearing off the top and tipping it in. Crystal sugar dissolves quickly in a hot drink and tastes clean and neutral, so it sweetens coffee or tea without getting in the way of the flavour.

Why sticks rather than a bowl
