As for the bean, our customer service usually recommends a 100% arabica. A smooth, slightly sweet or nutty coffee works nicely, and a dark roasted bean can work too as long as it is not too bitter. Yes. Black Forest Fruit has black tea as its base and black tea naturally contains caffeine. The forest fruits and leaves in the blend do not add anything to that, but they do not take it out either. If you let the bag steep for a shorter time, slightly less caffeine ends up in your cup.
