Aroma Brown is Filtropa's unbleached filter paper. It is brown because it has not been bleached, and no additional materials are used in making it. Paper filters can leave a faint papery note in the first cup of the day; this paper is made to be neutral in taste and aroma, so what reaches the jug is the coffee and not the filter. Rinsing the filter through with hot water before you add the ground coffee clears the last of it and warms the holder at the same time.
