Mango Mambo is a loose fruit tea built on mango and candied pineapple, with orange slices, strawberry pieces, marigold and thistle in the mix. It is soft and sweet rather than sharp, the mango clearly in front and a light citrus lift behind it. There are no tea leaves in the blend, so there is no caffeine either, and it works as well cold-brewed over ice as it does hot. 100 g pack.
Details

A tropical fruit tea

Mango Mambo is a loose mango tea from the Café du Jour fruit range, and the fruit does the work: mango pieces and candied pineapple make up most of it, with orange slices, strawberry pieces and mango granules alongside them, and marigold and thistle for colour. In the cup it is soft and sweet - mango first, pineapple through the middle, a light orange lift at the end. There are no tea leaves in the blend, so there is no caffeine either; it suits eleven at night as well as eleven in the morning.

Hot

Around 2 g of leaf per 200 ml, water straight off the boil, five to ten minutes in the pot. Fruit blends need the full heat and a long steep before they give up much flavour, so do not cut it short.

Cold brew

This is where the blend is at its best. Put 12 g in a tea filter, drop it into a jug with a litre of cold water and leave it in the fridge for at least nine hours. Lift the filter out, add ice, and a sprig of mint or a slice of lime if you fancy it.
