Measuring loose-leaf tea by eye is how a cup ends up bitter one morning and watery the next. This Royal Tea spoon is made to hold about the amount of leaf a single cup wants, so you scoop, level it off with a finger and tip it into the cup, the pot or the infuser. Once the water is in, the same spoon does the stirring, which is one less thing to wash. Treat a level spoon as the starting point and adjust from there: a little less for a delicate green, a little more if you take your tea strong or your mug is a big one.
