FAQ
Customer Questions
Does this stainless steel tea filter fit in my cup or teapot?

The tea filter has a diameter of 5.5 cm and is 7 cm high. From handle to handle it measures 10.5 cm, and it is on those handles that the filter rests on the rim of your cup, glass or teapot. Do measure the inside dimension of your cup or pot: if the opening is narrower than about 5.5 cm, this filter will not fit in it.

What is the drip tray for on this tea filter?

When the tea is ready, you take the filter out of your cup or pot and place it in the drip tray supplied. The last drops collect there, so you do not get wet rings on your table or worktop. Handy if you want to leave the tea leaves for a second steeping.

How much loose tea do I put in this tea filter?

Count on about 2 grams of loose tea per cup, roughly a level teaspoon. If you are making a whole pot, multiply that by the number of cups that go into it. This filter is deliberately roomy, so the leaves can expand and release their aroma and flavour properly: so do not press the tea down.

Is this stainless steel tea filter dishwasher safe?

Yes, this tea filter is dishwasher safe. Throw out the wet tea leaves first and give the filter a quick rinse, then no residue is left in the mesh. If tea stains or limescale build up over time, soak the filter for a while in water with cleaning vinegar and rinse it well.
