Plug-in water filter - compatible with Jura Impressa C, E, F, J, S & Z series (type: 60209)

A compatible plug-in water filter cartridge for Jura Impressa coffee machines — the type that pushes straight into the socket in the water tank instead of screwing in. It carries the same type number as the part it replaces, 60209, and it is a compatible cartridge rather than a Jura-branded one.

Which machines it fits

Jura Impressa C, E, F, J, S and Z series machines. If yours takes the plug-in cartridge marked 60209, this one goes in its place.

What it does

The cartridge treats the water in the tank before it reaches the brewing unit, taking out things like chlorine, lead and copper. Chlorine is the one you taste: it is what flattens a cup made with straight tap water, and taking it out is the quickest improvement most machines get.

It does not replace descaling. A filter reduces what is in the water, but your machine will still scale up over time. Descale it at least twice a year, and take the filter out before you start — descaler and filter media should never meet.

When to replace it

One cartridge is good for 50 litres of water. Replace it at least every two months even if you have not got through 50 litres in that time, and fit a new one as soon as you notice the water tasting of the tap again.
