What it does

The filter reduces substances in tap water such as chlorine, lead and copper. It does not stop limescale building up inside your machine, so we recommend removing the filter and descaling the machine at least twice a year.

  • Filters about 50 litres of water, roughly 400 cups of coffee or 1000 espressos
  • Replace the filter every 2 months

FAQ
Customer Questions
Do I still need to descale my coffee machine if I use this water filter?
Yes, even if you use this water filter, we recommend descaling your machine at least twice a year. The filter reduces the amount of limescale in the water, but does not stop all limescale. Do not forget to remove the water filter from your machine before you start descaling.
Is this water filter suitable for my Philips or Saeco coffee machine?
This water filter is suitable for a wide range of Philips and Saeco coffee machines, including the Incanto, Intelia Deluxe, PicoBaristo, GranBaristo, Exprelia, Xelsis and several models from the Philips 1200, 2200, 3100, 3200, 4000, 4300, 5000 and 5400 series. Please refer to the product page for the full list of compatible models or check the model number of your machine.
Do I need to remove the water filter before descaling my machine?
Yes, it is important to always remove the water filter from your coffee machine before descaling. This prevents damage to the filter and ensures that the descaling process goes smoothly.
How often should I replace this water filter?
We recommend replacing the filter at least every 2 months, or after you have used approximately 50 litres of water (about 400 cups of coffee or 1000 cups of espresso). This ensures the filter continues to work optimally and your coffee retains the best flavour.
What does this water filter remove from tap water?
The water filter purifies tap water from, among other things, chlorine, lead and copper. This helps to improve the taste of the coffee and protects your coffee machine against certain harmful substances. Please note: despite the filtration, some limescale may still form.
