This water filter purifies tap water from substances like chlorine, lead, and copper, but it won't stop limescale from building up in your machine. We'd recommend removing the filter and descaling your machine at least twice a year. Each cartridge filters about 50 litres of water, which is roughly 400 cups of coffee or 1000 espressos. Be sure to replace the filter every 2 months.
