We get this question about Senseo pods regularly. In almost all cases it is not the pod itself, but the machine or the setting. If you use a single pod, put it in the 1-cup pod holder. In the 2-cup holder too much water runs through a single pod.
Also select the smallest cup size on your Senseo. The more water that goes through the same pod, the thinner the coffee becomes. Lay the pod flat and centred in the holder and press the ground coffee down lightly, so the water does not run past the edge.
If the coffee stays weak, descale your appliance. A machine with limescale lets the water run through too quickly, so the coffee has too little time to release its flavour.
No. The hemp in this Hemp and Turmeric blend is industrial hemp and it contains no THC, the substance with a psychoactive effect. So this tea cannot get you stoned or high.
The tea does contain CBD (cannabidiol). CBD works differently from THC and has no psychoactive effect.
This coffee comes from Honduras. Around the year 1700 the Spanish brought coffee plants from the region of Ethiopia to Honduras. These days around 13 million kilos of speciality, organic or Fairtrade coffee are produced there every year, from which SUN selects the best lots.
The beans are picked in three to five rounds, washed with clear water and one hundred percent sun dried. They then go to SUN in Zaandam, where they are roasted in their own roastery according to the slow roast process.
The package consists of eight bags of fresh loose leaf tea of 100 grams each, deliberately chosen from different tea families.
The description of this package lists among others Earl Grey (black tea), Pure Rooibos, Oosterse Sinaasappel (green tea with orange), Jasmijn, Forest Fruit, Silenceuse and Oolong. That way you taste the difference between black, green, oolong, rooibos and fruit tea all at once.
The ingredient list is: almonds, sugar, glucose, sunflower oil, emulsifier, gum arabic, honey and cinnamon.
These are roasted almonds with a layer of sugar and a hint of cinnamon. The pack contains 250 grams.
The maximum capacity is 500 grams. For faster cooling we recommend filling the cooler with around 400 grams of beans.
If you roast larger batches, cool the beans in two goes. An overfilled cooler has its heat blown away less quickly.
These are whole, crunchy brown almonds with a layer of sweet, creamy milk chocolate around them, in a 250 gram pack. Milk chocolate is sweeter and creamier than dark chocolate and many enthusiasts see it as the happy medium between dark and white chocolate.
The crunchy nut with the soft chocolate layer makes this one of the most popular delicacies in our range.
The pack contains two kilos of coffee beans and the accessories you want with an espresso:
A Café du Jour espresso cup and saucer, Café du Jour Espresso Madrugador coffee beans, Caffè Vergnano 1882 Espresso coffee beans and a pack of Cantuccini of 175 grams, the Italian almond biscuits that traditionally go with an espresso.
The cocoa comes from the Ottange Farm, located on the Ramena river in the Sambirano Valley in the north-west of Madagascar. This farm is part of the Mava plantations and is the smallest of the eight.
The chocolate itself is made and packed in the Netherlands by Krak Chocolade. The country name in the product name therefore refers to the origin of the cocoa beans, not to the country where the bar is produced.
These pods are suitable for machines that work with the ESE system, so espresso machines with an ESE pod holder or a portafilter that takes an ESE pod.
If you are not sure, check the manual of your machine to see whether ESE is listed. For some espresso machines, an ESE pod holder is available separately from the manufacturer.
This is white chocolate, but the bar is purple in colour. That colour comes from the hibiscus that is worked into the chocolate.
The combination stood out beyond our shop too: in 2018 this bar won silver at the International Chocolate Awards.
The cacao for this bar comes from Baracoa in Cuba. The chocolate itself is made and packed in the Netherlands by Krak Chocolade.
This is a question we get regularly: the country name in the product name refers to the origin of the cacao beans, not to the country where the bar is produced.
Yes. Mancuso Caffe Qualita Crema is meant for a portafilter machine or a bean to cup machine. These are whole beans, so your machine grinds them itself.
The roast is medium. That is good for a bean to cup machine, because dark roasted beans are oilier and can eventually clog the grinder and the coffee chute. These beans are not.
With an intensity of 8, classed by us as strong, it is a powerful coffee though. If you find the cup too bitter, set your grinder a little coarser or let the coffee run through for a shorter time.
Take the tea stick out of its wrapper and stir it through a cup of hot water. If you want sugar in your tea, add it first and then stir with the stick.
As soon as the tea is strong enough for you, lift the stick out and let the excess water drain from the stick. After that it can simply be thrown away. You do not need a tea strainer, filter bag or spoon.
No. The hemp in this Hemp and Herbs blend is fibre hemp and that contains no THC, the substance with a psychoactive effect. So this tea cannot make you stoned or high.
The tea does contain CBD (cannabidiol). CBD works differently from THC and has no psychoactive effect.
