These illy coffee beans are the Costa Rica edition of the illy Arabica Selection: a single origin coffee grown in Costa Rica and roasted by illy in Italy. The beans are 100% Arabica and get a light roast, which keeps the cup smooth and sweet.

Honey, caramel and vanilla

Are the illy Costa Rica coffee beans suitable for a bean to cup machine or an espresso machine?

Yes. These are whole arabica beans with a light roast and our product data lists a bean to cup machine and a semi automatic machine as the ideal preparation.

For a manual espresso machine you grind the beans fine (espresso grind), for filter coffee you grind coarser. According to the product data this coffee is suitable for espresso, filter coffee and cappuccino.

Do I get whole beans or ground coffee with the illy Costa Rica 250 grams?

You receive 250 grams of whole coffee beans, not ground coffee. So you need a coffee grinder or a machine that grinds the beans itself.
