Matcha starter set - including matcha tea - Wasabi

The matcha is filled into the tins by us and is therefore not sealed. There is a sticker on top of the tin and it can sometimes come loose during transport.

We never reuse a tin that has been returned, so the matcha in your starter set has never been with another customer. If something is not right after all, please let us know.

This starter set contains a ceramic matcha bowl in type Wasabi measuring Ø13 cm by H7 cm, a bamboo matcha whisk, a bamboo matcha scoop, a whisk holder and 50 grams of classic matcha in a resealable tin.

Everything comes together in a luxury cardboard gift box, so you can get started right away or give the set as a present. It is a fixed composition that you cannot change yourself.

For a cup of matcha you count on about 1.5 to 2 grams of powder, which is roughly a teaspoon. So with the 50 grams in this starter set you make around 25 to 33 cups.

Close the tin properly after use and store it dry, dark and cool, so that the colour and the flavour of the matcha are preserved.

Put about 1.5 to 2 grams of matcha into the bowl with the bamboo scoop and pour in a small splash of water at around 80 degrees. Whisk with the bamboo whisk in a quick W motion until the lumps are gone and a fine layer of foam sits on top.

Then top up with hot water or with warm milk for a matcha latte. You do not need to filter matcha, you drink the powder along with it. Boiling water quickly makes matcha bitter.

Rinse the whisk with warm water immediately after use and do not use any washing-up liquid. Then put it to dry on the whisk holder supplied, so that the prongs keep their round shape.

We advise you not to put the whisk, the scoop and the holder in the dishwasher, because bamboo can be damaged by it. Wash the bowl by hand with a soft sponge.
