Nescafé Original is the classic Nescafé instant coffee, in a 200 g jar. It starts with selected Robusta beans, which are given a medium-dark roast before being made into instant coffee. That means no coffee maker, filter or grinder: a spoon, a mug and a kettle are all it takes.

What it tastes like

Robusta gives a bolder, more bitter cup than Arabica does, and the medium-dark roast adds a roasted edge on top. The result is a full-flavoured cup with a good aroma: straightforward, familiar coffee rather than anything light or delicate.

Making a cup

Spoon the coffee into a mug, pour on hot water and stir until it has dissolved. Use a little more or a little less coffee until the strength is right for you.
